i have a contax t3 so i’m not an expert on the t2, but i know there are major similarities between the two so hopefully i can help out. from what i have heard, the contax t2 seems like a great point and shoot! are you talking about the dial on the top right that has options like ‘AF’ and the infinity symbol?
